FAQ

Q. Do you allow walk-ins or is it appointment only?

We run all activities by appointment only, and do not allow walk-ins.

Q. Can I cancel or reschedule my appointment?

Yes, you can. All cancellation and rescheduling requests MUST be made 48 hours prior to your appointment. Email us your request at info@ascendtexas.com

Q. What happens to my appointment if it rains?

In the event of light weather conditions, you will be contacted by one of our horse guides the day of your appointment with the option to ride on one of our alternative trails or receive a 30% refund. In more severe weather conditions, rides are automatically cancelled with the allowance to be rescheduled for another day. Should this happen, you will also receive a full refund.

Q. What should I wear for my ride?

We recommend that riders wear long pants that they find comfortable. Close toed shoes are a MUST for all riders.

Q. My child is below the minimum age requirement but they have riding experience, can they still ride? No, unfortunately we make no exceptions on the age requirement, whether a child has prior experience or not.

Q. Can I double up on a horse with someone else?

For the safety of our riders and horses, we do not allow doubling up. There will be one horse per rider.

Q. Can I bring a group larger than 4 people for a trail ride?

No, the maximum amount of riders we allow on a trail at once is four. This is for guests safety. The best solution for larger groups is to book back-to-back sessions. In this case, everyone can ride the same day and the other group members can enjoy our lovely camp grounds while they wait. Alternatively, up to five people are able to ride through our corral.

Q. Do I need any prior riding experience to book?

No, all of our riding experiences are beginner friendly and require no previous experience to ride.

Q. The maximum weight is 250lbs to ride. Is there any wiggle room?

No, there is no wiggle room. We have only one horse that is strong enough to safely carry up to 250lbs. All of our other horses are only strong enough to carry up to 220lbs. No exceptions are made as safety is our first priority.
